The eleventh university team meeting, Belgrade

The eleventh traditional meeting of the Hungarian and Serbian university chess teams was held on 29 April 2019 at the “Studentski grad” cultural centre in Belgrade. Serbia won by 5:3, while the blitz, five minutes plus two seconds, was drawn.

The Serbian side was made up of students of the College of Business Economics and Entrepreneurship (PEP) in Belgrade. The tournament was opened by Dr Dušan Cogoljević, the college’s founder, and the first move was made by György Grin, the Hungarian team leader. The meeting was organised together with the Gárdoš Association of Zemun.

The university team meetings have been held since 2010, and in recent years twice a year: once in Belgrade and once in Budapest.
