The first online tournament, and the Gárdos Open

The society held a chess event online for the first time. Despite the small field there were players of real quality among them: among the keen and experienced, a FIDE master took the win.

The tournaments continued at the same rhythm, the last Sunday of each month, under the name Gárdos Open. By the spring of 2021 the fourth and fifth editions had been played.
